The collection is inspired from the epic stories of ‘Krishna’. Krishna literally means “all-attractive”, also all powerful, all knowing and the most beautiful. Inspired from ‘Krishna’ as a muse, the collection is developed to establish individuality in a person, revealing the best of one’s own self.
Establishing the impression of Krishna in the mind, an ambiguous and abstract Krishna print is developed for the collection. Drawing inspiration from the life of ‘Krishna’ , detailing with metal chains is a consistent highlight of the collection. Unique technique of ‘jumping sequins’ and dyed feathers adds glamour to the collection. The fabrics chosen are a combination of organza, silk, flat chiffon, net, jerseys and satin in different forms of digital print. Taking inspiration from the epic stories of Lord Krishna and combining it with the modern day silhouettes, the ‘Krishna’ collection of draped dresses, shirts and gowns are developed. The colours chosen are a splash of bright hues of yellow, green, pink and blue layered with neutral blends of off- whites and grey. The look of the collection ranges from sophisticated to hippie focusing on enhancing the ‘Krishna’ in varied person’s individual personality.
The unique selling point of the collection is the combination of print with textures and colours which would give a feel of ‘krishna’ yet be very contemporary.
