I Don’t Just Design Clothes. I Build Energy Around a Woman.

"There are days when I don’t touch fabric at all. And yet, somehow, I still feel like I’m designing."

Because for me, designing doesn’t always begin with a sketch or a sewing machine. It starts the moment I really see a woman. The way she walks into a room and instantly reads its energy. The way her hands fidget when she’s unsure. The way her eyes soften when she’s finally seen. There’s something sacred about watching a woman inhabit herself — with all her edges and ease.

And every time I witness that, I ask myself — what would she wear if she wasn’t afraid? That’s where my design begins.

Over time, I’ve come to realise I don’t just make garments. I create energy fields. Each piece I build isn’t just an outfit — it’s a vessel. A container for memory, confidence, longing, softness, rage, radiance — all the things we’re not always allowed to express freely.

You know when you put on that one piece that suddenly shifts something inside you? Your back straightens, your breath deepens, and your energy changes — that’s not just fashion. That’s something else. That’s the kind of power I want every piece to carry.

My process isn’t neat. It’s not linear. I don’t chase collections or trends. I chase truth . Sometimes it starts with a scrap of texture. Sometimes it begins with music that moves me, or a line of poetry that sits on my skin for days. Sometimes I overhear a conversation that sticks to my ribs and won’t let go. And from that small, unexplainable place, a silhouette starts to form. A feeling takes shape. A drape starts to breathe.

I’m not here to mass-produce garments for the algorithm. I’m here to shape clothing that makes women remember who they are. To create pieces that don’t just flatter the body — but honour the story it carries. That’s why every corset I build is structured yet soft, every drape is sharp yet fluid. Every look is a tension between power and surrender — just like us.

If you’ve ever worn a Megha Garg piece , I want you to know — you’re more than a client to me. You’ve trusted me with the most intimate space of all: your body. And I don’t take that lightly. Every time you choose to wear something I’ve made, you are stepping into a version of yourself that you’ve been waiting to meet.

And to any woman reading this — especially the ones building their own thing, dreaming their own dreams — I want to say this: your process doesn’t have to look perfect. It doesn’t have to follow rules. Let it be wild. Let it be emotional. Let it take time. Let it break you open. Because when you finally pour your whole heart into what you create, it will move the world in ways you can’t predict.

We are not here to shrink. We are here to shape .To sculpt energy. To wear truth. To walk like we belong — because we do.

With all my stitched stories and soft rebellion, Megha Garg Poddar
